Educational Sharing at community activity event of Disney
2024-03-01
The Christmas Bazar was held for over 80 underprivilege children and their families on 9 December 2023 at SKH Holy Carpenter Community Centre through partnership with Foodlink. The event is aimed to celebrate the festivals while raising the awareness on certain environmental issues from daily diet perspectives and encourage the participants to understand the impact of their consumption and actively choose sustainable products. We prepared two game booths, one of them is a card matching game that helps the children and parent to learn about the environmental impacts behind the consumption. Another game is set to knock down multiple aluminum cans by throwing some ‘lemon-looking’ balls. This is more interesting approach to address the importance of minimizing food waste and packaging waste through utilizing wonky fruits and upcycling aluminum cans. The participants are awarded with sustainable snacks for their active participation.
